Baitadi. Police have arrested another person on suspicion of being involved in the murder of Dambar Awasthi, 30, of Surnaya Gaonpalika-6 of Baitadi. Police have arrested Nawaraj Awasthi, 28, of Surnaya Gaonpalika-6 on Monday, saying that Harish was not the only one involved in the murder of Dambar. Earlier, Harish Awasthi has been remanded in police custody on charges of murdering Dumbar. Police also said that Nawaraj and Harish were cousins.


Police investigation has revealed that Nawaraj helped his brother Harish to commit the murder. Baitadi Police Spokesperson Inspector Bodhraj Ojha has informed that Nawaraj was arrested on the basis of Harish’s statement. He further added that during the investigation, Nawaraj had admitted that he had assisted in the murder. He said that the investigation has revealed that the distance between Nawaraj and Harish’s house was one hour and that Nawaraj and Harish were with him on the day of the murder.

Harish had called Dumbar in Kharkadhar forest on December 30. According to police, there was a fight between the two. It has been revealed from the police investigation that Dumbar fought from the cliff during the fight. According to police, Harish then killed Dumbar by throwing stones at him. According to the police, the details of how Nawaraj helped in the murder are yet to be revealed.
