Kathmandu. On the occasion of Sita Jayanti, President Vidyadevi Bhandari has wished happiness, peace and prosperity to all Nepali brothers and sisters at home and abroad.

Today, President Bhandari issued a congratulatory message on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Sita, the daughter of Rajarshi Janak and a dignified daughter of Nepal.

Every year on the day of Baisakh Shukla Navami, Sita Origin Day or Sita Jayanti is celebrated in the temples of Ram and Janaki all over the country including Janakpur which is considered as the center of ancient Mithila.

Inspired by the ideals of Mother Sita, the Vedic society and the role of mother power in the state administration process of that time introduces our rich ancient civilization.

Over time, some aspects of history are transformed into current traditions or cultures. As the story of Sita’s origin is found in many standard texts of Vedic civilization, the birth of mother Sita has remained as a heritage of our mythological and cultural beliefs.

It is said in the auspicious message that we should accept Sita Jayanti as a festival that shows the importance of women’s power in Sanatan culture.

Janaki, Vaidehi, Janakandini and many other names of Sita are revered. Janakandini Sita, also known as a Veerangana, is believed to have an extraordinary ability to easily lift the gigantic Shivadhanu that even a Kayan knight could not lift.

It is a matter of pride for all of us to be the daughter of Mother Sita Mithila Bhoomi Nepal, who is respected as an ideal woman.

President Bhandari is confident that this holy day of Sita Jayanti will inspire all of us to build a progressive, civilized and civilized society by ending all forms of social and cultural discrimination, including gender inequality.

The origin of Sita is described in Valmiki Ramayana and Purana in the Tretayuga when King Janak of Mithila performed the ritual of Yajna while plowing the field.

The good news, to relieve all this gloom, is that a democracy is inherently self-correcting. Here, the people are sovereign. Inept political leaders can be replaced. Foolish policies can be changed. Disastrous mistakes can be reversed.
