Kathmandu. The government has to spend 35 percent of its monthly budget to make 100 percent capital expenditure. Although the government has set a target of 10 percent for the first three months and 10 and 10 percent for each month thereafter, only around 30 percent has been spent in the last 10 months.

However, the government has reduced the target of capital expenditure by 10 percent in its mid-year review. However, to achieve that goal, the government now has to spend 30 percent of its budget every month.
According to the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General, less expenditure has been incurred in this fiscal year as compared to the last fiscal year 2077/07. However, last year, due to the Corona epidemic, the tree fell in the tenth month. Although the situation is normal compared to the previous year, the results of the Accounts General have not shown any result in capital expenditure.
